JUNE 28TH: THE FIRST OFFICIAL NEDSO TOURNAMENT — A NEW ERA BEGINS

History is being made.

On June 28th, 2025, we step onto the field in Oxford, Massachusetts, for the very first official NEDSO tournament. This isn’t just a game. It’s the launch of something Deaf athletes across New England have waited for, and something many thought would never come back.

“They let it die. I brought it back.”
Commissioner Chris Marchese

What once was fading — Deaf softball, regional rivalries, community pride — is now burning again.

This is the beginning of a league built with no blueprint… just belief.

Old Legends Return. New Blood Rises.

This tournament will bring together generations of Deaf talent — from longtime veterans who once dominated the field to first-time players stepping into Deaf softball for the first time in their lives.

Some haven’t played competitively in years.

Some were overlooked, left out, or underestimated.

But now they’re here — not as individuals, but as part of something greater.

“This league wasn’t handed to me. I built it player by player.
And now we’re proving what happens when the Deaf world leads its own future.”
Commissioner Chris Marchese

This Isn’t Just Softball — It’s Revival

When we take the field in Oxford, we’re doing more than playing ball.

We’re reviving a tradition that runs deep in the Deaf community — loyalty, competition, brotherhood, and pride.

  • Players are repping their home regions.

  • Captains are leading from the front.

  • Fans and families are showing up to witness the rebirth.

“NEDSO isn’t just about softball.
It’s about showing the world what we can build without anyone’s permission.”
Commissioner Chris Marchese

This is raw. This is real. This is ours.

Oxford Is Where It Begins — Not Where It Ends

This is only the beginning. From this day forward, NEDSO will evolve into a comprehensive system, featuring local teams, regional rivalries, player development, and Deaf leadership at every level.

Our vision is simple but bold:

  • Deaf-owned. Deaf-built. Deaf-powered.

  • Six regional teams.

  • A multi-phase season with playoffs and legacy.

“I’m not here to copy the hearing leagues or NEAAD or NSAD.
I’m here to make something better. Something that lasts.”
Commissioner Chris Marchese

Come Ready. Play With Pride. Leave Your Mark.

If you’re suiting up tomorrow, remember that you’re not just playing a game.

You’re playing in the first chapter of a league that will change the future of Deaf sports in New England.

This is your name in the record books.

This is your moment to make history.

“We don’t need the spotlight.
We just need the field and each other.”
Commissioner Chris Marchese

The New England Deaf Softball Organization has officially begun.

We are NEDSO.

We are the revival.

And tomorrow, it all starts here.
